What I mean is. Our "evolved" sensibilities like love, justice, morality, etc. are all things that got us here, not vice versa. We're the same humans now as 300,000 years ago. Love is also that old.

Morality is so interesting. Nature doesn't care about it so much. But things in nature—namely, us—are intelligent enough that morality has been beneficial to survival. We've survived, and we still have it. You don't keep things that aren't useful, you know? We didn't keep tails. We kept morality.
