I suppose Kirishima should soon be announced to be on a tsuna run with that junyusho But if you have to string a yusho and yusho equivalent together you’d probably want to get the yusho done when everyone ranked above you is out, which, who knows, may also be the case in July #sumospoilers

That is because he's never been anywhere close. His best record ever (11-4) earned him a fighting spirit prize back in Sept 2020, but it wasn't enough; that basho saw a 12-3 Takakeisho lose the whole thing to Sekiwake Shodai (whoa) in his first and only makuuchi yusho win. THERE IS NO TIME BUT NOW
