As a first time cosplayer attending a local con, I'm panicking about con crunch and the fact that I still have an entire outfit to tie dye, build ears and a tail, and also have no coordinating shoes. And it's a fancied closet cosplay. And y'all do this for FUN?

Somehow always finding myself at cons even if I don't have a badge. The energy at FWA is amazing. So many cool fursuits, impressions and photographers and artists abound, and the compliments are flying every which way. There is so much kindness and camaraderie and community here.

It's been almost 24 hours and I'm still riding the high that was seeing Speed Racer in IMAX. Worth the 90 minutes of traffic. Worth the effort of cosplay. The crowd in my theater was so into it. I even heard after the film one guy say to his friend "thanks for inducting me." 15/10. Would do again.

Being in your 30s is fun because your mom's friends want to be your friend and they bring the good wine to hang out and try to set you up with hot divorcees who make good money and and then ask you if you know where to buy weed. It's like improving my college/grad school memories 😂
