Defending champions is a concept I started developing as I got back into drawing in college, before I had anywhere near the skill to realize it how I imagined it. I revisited it years ago now, only to find that I didn’t feel ready AGAIN!

A couple of months ago I put out a public casting call for voices on a project I've been developing on and off for... a long time. I was BLOWN AWAY at the interest and the quality of the auditions. It is such a gift to hear these characters come to life in the hands of incredible talent!

When I was teaching high school digital media, the most fun my kids had was making accidental discoveries by *playing* with the tools and software available to them. The alchemy of it was its own reward. That never changes, but now there are fewer spaces to make mistakes and discoveries.

I have always loved tastefully applied guitar gymnastics and climactic solos, but lately I have found nothing more rewarding than locking into a tight groove and vibing in the pocket. As both a composer and listener, the rhythm section is where the excitement is!!

Been proudly Adobe free for years now using many of the tools outlined here! As he says in the video: it’s nice to feel excited about technology that was made by humans FOR humans.
