Thought our manager was smoking crack when I saw the starting defensive lineup. When he reverted to a normal back 4 Napoli were completely negated up front and this we could make the most of our talented attack. Love having Joao Pedro as striker in an attacking 3. Well done Chelsea.

Whilst it was a brilliant kick from their keeper, I am staggered that Wilson was able to gallop in between 2 defenders and get in free on goal. Chalobah was nowhere to support his teammate. Would argue it is fortunate not to have been a pen as the “tug” took place in the box (oo-er-missus etc)

If our younger fanbase think “this is a weird club”, note that in ‘87/‘88 after our main goalkeeper Eddie Niedzwiecki got seriously injured v Oxford United we did not win a single league game for the rest of the season and were subsequently relegated via the playoffs.

The manager when I first started attending Chelsea matches was John Hollins. Have to get a spreadsheet out for those since including the interims. Would love for Liam Rosenior to succeed for so many reasons… think many fans can afford him plenty of goodwill.

At least on my travel to and from the match Chelsea fans kept me in good spirits. One guy telling his mate that he had taught a South African lady that “minge” was cool London slang for “car”
