First post here. I am interested in chaperone proteins: how do cells counteract/revert protein misfolding and aggregation? What are the physics principles that allow these machines to work? Are native proteins in the cell thermodynamically stable? 1/4

As a grad student I needed ice for the ice compartment on a biorad WB transfer tank. I scooped it out of the ice I was using and set it up for overnight. Next day I opened it up and realized I had scooped multiple tubes of restriction enzymes up and they were now ruined 😬
