Today on International Nurses Day, we’re celebrating the incredible nurses who are at the heart of everything we do 💙 From all of us at Sue Ryder: thank you for the compassion, dedication and strength you show, not just today - but every single day.

We continue to share our staff's thoughts on how they experience death and grief within their faith, culture, and community. While there is no 'right way' to grieve, having defined grieving practices can be a support for people by permitting the grieving person to share feelings and be cared for.

We asked our staff to share what happens in their faith, culture and community when someone dies. While they all have their own cultural experiences of death, there are many shared aspects of dying, grief and bereavement that unite them.

This year’s theme for #DyingMattersAwarenessWeek is “The Culture of Dying Matters”, and we want to hear your experience. Is there one thing in your faith, community, family or culture related to death and dying that you wish people knew about?
