Camp Gale is done and I finally got to wear him today at Katsucon!! I actually gasped a little when I saw the full look in the mirror, complete with makeup transformation. The endless hours of embroidery were absolutely worth it!

My two Gale outfits for day one of Katsucon! Wandered around for a bit as OG Gale, and then donned my own ‘celestial Gale’ design and took (briefly) to the stage for the Cosplay Met Gala. Thank you to everyone who cheered me on and came over afterward to compliment the design, it was so gratifying!

The cosplay dilemma I find myself running into these days is that as my skills and dedication increase, so too does the time and effort I have to invest into each cosplay. Which is not a BAD thing per se, but it means I have to be more selective about the cosplays I commit to.

I now have some materials for two other Gale cosplays AFTER the two I’m currently working on so suffice it to say, I think I have a favourite character 😅

As proud as I am of the camp tunic, I honestly think the belt might be my favourite piece of the outfit. There’s something about the gleam of real metal and how well the weathering worked on the tiles that just delights me no end.

Gale’s camp tunic is DONE!! Just under 200 (196) hours of hand embroidery on this piece and I’m so proud of how it turned out. All that’s left is to finish the detail stitching on the trousers so I’ll very likely be bringing this along to Katsucon in Feb 👍 #baldursgate3 #bg3 #galedekarios #cosplay
