#RandomGameSaturday I'm very proud of this repro that I did of Dinosaur Planet (with the fantastic Dinomod). The cart is a Summercart64 set to autoboot the ROM, that way I can update the game with new patches. I love how my box art and label came out on this especially with the clear blue shell!

Yesterday, we saw several discussions with a torrent of (real?) people defending game-key cards using the wildest arguments. Maybe we were speaking the wrong language the entire time. Let's try to illustrate the issue like this:

I don't know much about trademarks, but this makes me wonder why they showed it as D-Hopper rather than Dragon Hopper. My assumption was a copyright issue, but if they have the Dragon Hopper trademark, then I wonder what happened? What name will it be released under?

I've seen people talking about the Sega Saturn recently, usually comparing it to the PS1. I gotta say, regardless of the power under the hood, I really think the Saturn had a cooler style than the PS1.

Post the first game you actually completed! Yep, same here, it's a hard thing to remember, but as a Genesis kid I know it was one of these two. I'm leaning to Sonic 2 since I didn't play that till I was a bit older, and as a kid I had trouble beating Marble Zone in Sonic 1.

Got to play the Metroid Prime 4 demo today (I can't buy the game yet since Christmas is coming). It just leads up to the first boss, but holy smokes! It looks and plays great! So excited!

In Mario Kart World, NPCs will park their cars, exit them, and walk around. However, the game does not actually keep track who each car belongs to. As such, a different NPC than the owner may drive away with a car, seemingly stealing it.

Ok, this may be coping hard, but we are at a NON-ZERO CHANCE of getting an official release of Dragon Hopper now. The Virtual Boy Switch app needs titles to help fill it out, (iirc) Nintendo owns the rights to the game, and they did this with Star Fox 2 on SNES... I can hope lol

Honestly the big takeaway from the Mania 2 thing is ‘you should buy Penny’s Big Breakaway’ It’s an extremely charming game that you can really tell the team loved working on (and I hear it runs great on Switch 2, since there’s a framerate unlock toggle in the options)

As of today, tech part of #tinytoon DX for #gameboycolor should be complete : special FX & ending are working, palette swap too, and unless I've missed something, I should concentrate on pixel art from now on. 1st level is totally done for that matter (maybe some more overlay, unless it shimmers.)

I still can't get over how good DK Bananza was. I know I'm still playing the post game, but man, I think it was legitimately what I consider to be perfect. Just a love letter to DK as a series and an outstandingly fun game on its own. I think it's my game of the year.

I just beat the main story for DK Bananza, and holy smokes. This game was fantastic! No spoilers. I will say this is one of the few 10/10 games on my list. I feel like this game alone justifies buying a Switch 2. Absolutely loved it!

In other news, Nintendo is investigating a controversial Easter egg in Donkey Kong Country 2 where a trash can with Sonic's shoes and Earthworm Jim's blaster may be seen as a jab at other platformers. Sonic was quoted as saying it was "not way past cool".
