Daily Check-in. It’s good to take accountability, but don’t assign yourself blame needlessly. It’s good to acknowledge the consequences of your actions and inactions! But ask yourself; does blaming yourself lead to any tangible benefit? If not, then try reframing blame into something else. Be kind.

The real genius is writing a character who can lie through technical truths. Vee is a horrible liar, but she's one of the very best half-truth-tellers. She can bluff by virtue of exaggeration, misdirection, and technical truths, but she's unable to tell a direct lie. It's part of her 'tism.

In #WriterSky news; I had a breakthrough in presenting key info in a way I think flows well. Today I wrote it, and while it'll need cleanup later, I like it! It's given me momentum, and we're up to 91 pages! Not long before we break 100, and then 200, then...you get the idea! Picking up the pace!

I hate constantly being on the verge of passing out. Between disabilities flaring up, burnout, exhaustion, stress, anxiety, frustration, and inability to rest though? That’s just my new norm. Always at any moment, potentially passing out. And any chance for that changing is a while away.

Collections on behalf of the prior apartment place called. So it’s confirmed I have that battle to fight. Which means either forking up $2600 I don’t have and hoping they don’t keep trying to charge more, or fighting them in court, which means needing a lawyer. And that’s on top of other things.

It sure seems like everything is trying to crush/destroy everything I care about. The responsibilities of life are crushing me at a time where my own inner darkness is flaring up. I dare not share the darkness with others, as it’s lashing out and self-destructive. But life woes, I sure can.

I know I don't need to do everything--but there is a bare minimum to be doing which I feel I fall short of. And when I'm not making the effort on my end, I can't blame them for thinking I'm letting them down because I am. I promised things I reasonably SHOULD have been able to provide--then didn't.

Life keeps piling up and I keep feeling like I'm falling further behind. I've got endless amounts of emails, both work and personal, to sort through. I've still got to go to the PUD and confirm we're not getting double charged. And to my internet service provider. And the post office for address.

In a world where everything is so beautiful and wonderful and amazing, I don't think it's possible for me to hate anything more than myself.

I was planning on writing a song today, creating an MS Paint drawing today, and maybe writing more for my novel. But apparently, today is a "it doesn't matter how much you eat, you're still hungry, and when you're hungry you have no energy" day. There's a brain fog and hunger.

I know in the #WritingCommunity, it's taboo to start editing existing chapters before finishing a draft because it's usually a death sentence to finishing a novel. But with my novel reaching potentially-present-to-publisher levels, I felt obliged to polish the prologue given how old it was.

I have once again been made extra proud of my wife because @kelseymarie2014.bsky.social got me with a slow-burned "cook deez nuts" joke.

I’m stressed and directionless atm. I’ve done my best to try and contact the bank my car loan is through to try and get payment moved from today to Friday, but I might be too late, and if so, I’m screwed. I also need to go to a courthouse to confirm my hearing time/date/location.

Sometimes, I don’t get enough food because we genuinely don’t have any. Other times, it’s just moments like today: I THOUGHT I got enough food last night, but I either needed more then or a breakfast. Because upon arriving at work, I suddenly became ravenous. And I didn’t pack enough for that.

what a time for this to trend. Vee, the protagonist of my current novel, was born on earth on June 21st, 1994. She leaves earth for farn via getting isekai'd on September 23rd, 2023, which becomes her farn birthday.

Today, September 21st, was one of the two or three dates I considered to be the date which my novel would begin on--I ultimately opted for September 23rd, which is both the day Vee gets sent to farn and the day she adopts as her farn birthday. The date was chosen for three reasons.

To give you an idea of how badly my disabilities are acting up? I'm bedridden at this very moment, with severe lightheadedness, dizziness, zoning out, feeling like I'll pass out, etc. And that's the tax I pay for... ...The labor of eating breakfast, taking the dog out, and taking the trash out.

I'm really not okay today because the problems which I thought had previously peaked on Monday reached new peaks this morning. I kept having nightmare after nightmare, and the entire time I was just crying out for help. "Help me." Because I need help. And I've just been overwhelmed.

Showering can sometimes be magical. For a week, our hot water heater was broken, meaning I couldn't shower. It got fixed, and today I finally was able to, and I feel a lot better now. Talking helped, showering helped, being with my wife helped, and while the sadness is there, it's muted now. <3

I feel like I’ve done nothing but fight losing battles my whole life. I keep Fighting and fighting, and always, never winning. The closest I get are draws, or me running away and starting over again, or Phyrric Victories where I win a battle but lose the war. I’m tired of losing.

This is...one of the worst bouts of depression I’ve ever had. And one of the most dangerous, too. Talking about it helps. Music I vibe with helps. Any time with my wife helps. But the big sad keeps coming back. Relief is temporary. I’ve got SO MUCH GOOD to cling to. Yet this sadness is consuming.

In #WriterSky news, my depression is making it difficult to progress far, but I've technically gotten up to 82 and counting, and a lot of the lack of extra is because the work I'm doing isn't generating extra pages but *IS* cleaning up the existing content and adding to it. So, work is there!

hi I am the wife in question and I am struggling hard and failing hard. We might not have enough money to get through the week, given gas. We're barely going to survive in terms of food. My wife deserves the happiness of celebrating important events. And I can give them none of it.

There are things that I want to do but can’t because rent took most of our money, we have less than 100 dollars in our account to get us through until Friday, my wife and I can’t celebrate our dogs birthday on the actual day, we can’t even celebrate our anniversary, and it sucks 😭

I know this was a long thread, so people probably didn't read it all. But I'm not getting better. Not my dreams, not my depression, not my staying on top of tasks, not my finances. I'm getting worse in all. I don't know how anyone can help. But I need help. So badly. I'm slipping.

I musta pulled a shoulder muscle yesterday, because today I have reduced range of motion, trouble breathing, and a constant pain of 4 which shoots up to 8. Mind you, I have a high pain tolerance. My 4 is most people's 8. So my 8 is most people's "curled up in a ball, crying in agony". I’m in PAIN.
