the reasoning is good and one i've been asking about for years: if you consistently fail to self-label pornography, bluesky should step in and treat all your posts as NSFW. if you only post NSFW media, this is a win-win-win. the execution and communication, on the other paw, is a bsky classic...

if this decision was taken in good faith, they'd be up front about it. they'd announce it publicly, explain why this decision was taken, and ask the user base for feedback. the consistent lack of transparency and proper communication is an issue that needs to be addressed.

what's the reasoning behind this decision? trying to annoy users on purpose? they introduced this quietly and are refusing to address people's concerns. are they about to start mass suspending accounts for "harassment" again, just because their own users demand transparency?

it's interesting how certain words feel different emotionally in different languages because of the associated social context. a word in English can feel safe and comfortable, while the same word in Polish (my native language) can make me feel uneasy.
