*10/1/2025 noncooperation thread* Pritzker calls on Congress to invoke the 25th Amendment, which allows for the removal of a President for physical or mental incapacitation. That'd be right & just! And unlikely! But just publicly *acknowledging* Trump's plainly obvious incapacitation is huge. 5/

Please. When someone mentions they're going to a concert. Don't immediately be like "Oh? I didn't like their most recent album. I know a lot did but I thought it was bad."

No, no. It's better that we all have guns. Because it stops these events from happening. The shooter might worry that someone has a gun. -stares at camera- I hate active shooter training.

Some stories you may not be aware of if you’re not inside the circles where tech industry workers talk to each other: the groups at Microsoft that have been organizing for years to stop providing tech to enable genocide scored their first massive victory last week.

One thing I love about Korean and Japanese comics is that you'll see knights in super western gear... And then notice them in slippers while doing stuff at home. Slipper culture is just much more pronounced.

One of my favorite things about NYC is the subway. Especially the old tiled stations with their gorgeous tile mosaics, so I wanted to honor those with this year’s NYCC exclusive! Introducing Borbs of the Boroughs!

What annoys me about the male loneliness epidemic is... It's focused on straight, white men. As if they're the only ones who can feel lonely. When the reality is that everyone is having this problem. And it manifests differently.

Posted this on Reddit and I've been getting reported for suicide watch all morning. For reference, people do this as a way of saying "kill yourself" without getting banned. I can't imagine anything more pathetic than getting riled up about trans people literally just existing. Deeply cringe.

Looking forward to watching coworker figure out how to get these off the wall. He's left no slack for the boxes, with two nails on each side, there isn't really an easy space to get to the nail out without damaging the box.

Bluesky leadership has been doing this thing where they frame all objections to their censorship as "Oh, you support posting SEX CRIMES??? GO MAKE YOUR OWN APP, PERVERT!!" Bluesky censored the literal Keystone Cops for violence. They flagged a Victorian trick film for violence. Sit the hell down.

...I live in a red state. A democrat who is pro life will never win this state. You can run the kindest, most genuine, most right on all issues democrat in this state and it won't be enough. Maybe actually focusing on shit we can do and win in red states is a start.

the pro-life comments from klein really are galling because despite his constant hectoring about persuasion, klein doesn't make any attempt to explain why he thinks pro-life democrats can win back red/purple seats. he presents it as a given without making the case.

i find the idea that we should win every fight, every time, to be an incredibly childish way of looking at politics, and even if i think klein deserves credit for having TNC as a guest to (mildly) criticize him, that part, and his comments about pro-life politicians, really stood out to me.
