@councilortkl.bsky.social made an amendment to put an emergency clause in the ordinance. Amendment approved, 12-0.

On Wednesday, October 15, @counciloravalos.bsky.social, @councilortkl.bsky.social, @councilorclark.bsky.social, and I will present a joint resolution to Council that creates a coordinated framework to safeguard Portlanders targeted by those at the highest levels of our nation’s government.

Also heard next week will be a code amendment to enact Sanctuary City status protections, codify and strengthening our commitment to our immigrant community. Thanks to @councilorkanal.bsky.social for leading this with @councilortkl.bsky.social and @councilormorillo.bsky.social.
