I’m absolutely devastated at the news that my friend Tony Stella has passed. Tony and I had become good friends these last 9 years. I will forever cherish our collaborations. He was truly a one of a kind talent and a genuinely great (and funny) guy. My heartfelt sympathy to his family and friends.

Period deets feel spot-on, grounding a story where desperation drives people to crime. The film doesn’t excuse its characters’ decisions, but brings empathy & understanding to them. 📽️

Across *The Hunger Games* quadrilogy, I enjoyed the cast, even if the material was of variable quality. Recently caught up with the 2023 prequel and had the opposite reaction: didn’t much like the cast, but found the story more compelling. Where’ll I land with *Sunrise on the Reaping* this November?

NIRVANNA THE BAND THE SHOW THE MOVIE - The most joyous moviegoing experience I’ve had in a long time. For all the duo’s wacky schemes—so many “how did they pull this off” moments—the energy never wavers, yet still finds room for pathos. A Toronto classic that should just play in cinemas forever. ❤️ 📽️
