This arc is maybe the best writing I’ve ever done — certainly on this book. It’s tough to do yet ANOTHER take on an origin story we’ve seen several times (and seen done /well/ several times) and I think I’ve put my stamp on it.

It's *unreal* how good this is. The storytelling is terrific. Your eye flows from panel to panel with ease & you feel the atmosphere. The dialogue is fantastic. Genuine and dramatic when needed, but also witty in a way that made me go "Oh that's right, Brandon's a comedian!" Read it, it's *free*!

In combing through these old issues again, I think #10 may be my favorite still. I’m super proud of the coloring and action, but mostly I’m proud of the urgency — the pace never lets up. That’s super fun. Let me know what your favorite is!

Trust me: you wanna read this. Not only you'll witness an impressive evolution-- you'll also enjoy a very fresh take on the character that's still true to the core of Peter Parker/Spider-Man. I've read many writers / artists, and Brandon has one of the most pro-level sense of pacing and directing.

WRITING TIP FOR TODAY Sale racks at bookstores. I'm dead serious. Buy reference books when they are practically giving them away and build a little library. I cannot explain the difference between a book and the ENTIRE WEB. A good reference book will give you a dozen ideas in the first chapter.
