When I started cleaning my house before going on trips so it would be clean when I got back.

I texted a friend that, at my job, I hardly had any time to write, so I finished my book while I was on FMLA from my hysterectomy. I wrote "lol" at the end of my sentence. She said "Lord, I'm so sorry. What a horrible thing." That was when it hit me that maybe that wasn't an "lol" kind of message.

I’m finishing the copy edit for my second book, and I told @maggiesmithpoet.bsky.social that copy editors are magic. She used to be a copy editor, and she loved it, but I said, “I’m not a copy editor. I NEED a copy editor.” She said, “I respect that.” She was also definitely laughing at me.

Sometimes I get clothing ads in my feed, and I think it's something really cute, then click on the link before realizing that those overalls with mushrooms embroidered on the front, are, in fact, for 5-year-olds.

I received an advance copy of this book, and it’s so down-to-earth, accessible, craft-focused in practical ways, and inspiring. Kind of like Maggie herself!

My bf had his wisdom teeth out on Tuesday, and today my mom sent him a message via iCloud? (Idk what that is.) The message said that she hoped he felt better. Anyway, my mom and I have the same initials, so he thought it was me and wrote back “Love you 😘.” They barely know each other.
