Three coats stacked on top of each other, wearing a human being.
Watching the New Yorker doc and realizing that I've never read a New Yorker. As a magazine fan, that's fairly embarrassing.

Tried an AI drive thru at White Castle today. It couldnât split my crave case into cheeseburgers and hamburgers. It just turned them all into cheeseburgers and added a single hamburger to the order. đ Welcome to the future.

Writers need to tell folk villain stories. I think there's truth in "politics is downstream from culture'. We need straightforward stories saying these guys kinda suck. Not the human interest pieces of let's get to know them and normalize them.

âEating the right foods in the proper quantities, 16th-century Britons believed, balanced mind and soul. So in Shakespeareâs plays, roasts, ales, and pies are not props, but clues to charactersâ souls, moods, and motivations.â

If you put an 80s cartoon in front of me I've either seen it or it's vaguely familiar. I watched a lot of them in my life. But I have never heard of this one. Ever. That is wild. It feels like it could be a hoax. I hope not. Nice to have some fun mystery in the world.

I'm really enjoying The Martian novel. Normally not a fan of anything in space, but I'm digging this. Quiet moments with chaos interspersed and a character that's facing it one step at a time. Very nice.

I have been obsessed with this song the past few weeks. Not only that it's amazing but speaks so much to our fascination with what has been. A snapshot of the past. No matter how well preserved, it's still not what it was. Strangely alluring but dead and gone.

I think a lot about the chance we had at the start of COVID to finally become a more compassionate, collectivist nation, and how profoundly we were failed not only by the sociopathic greed of the ruling class but by each other. It doesnât mean we wonât get there, but the lost opportunity haunts me.

I think a lot about internet culture and politics and where we are now. In the mix is magick. Not the Houdini shit but spiritual beliefs, practices, and symbols. These have all collided into this weird mix that is driving us all mad.
