Animation is a caricature of life, not a lesser imitation of it. Remaking cartoons in live-action, or giving the characters realistic proportions, hairs, warts, etc., robs them of the stylized exaggeration that made them appealing in the first place.

Give me art where someone decided it needed to exist so much that they devoted a significant portion of their limited time on Earth to create it.
