Not to sound like a kindergartener or something but it's just not right that in industries like film and games where incredible amounts of money get made and thrown around at the drop of a hat that the average worker cannot get sustainable wages or healthcare. It's just not! :(

As someone who works in both industries (and tabletop, too)…you’re 100% right. The discrepancy in pay and benefits is immense. The workload, creativity, and quality of stories is nearly identical.

I may delete this because it’s a bit spicy but it shouldn’t be lost on us that games being turned into TV is essentially harvesting the stories written by those who don’t have union representation or healthcare with WGA by those that do. Our stories are good enough for TV but the writers aren’t?

my only notes to people under 30: your 30s aren't for ditching fandom, they're for re-evaluating all the "cringe" stuff you liked as a teenager through the lens of someone who can appreciate it fully, going, "that owned, actually," and becoming even more unhinged about it. please look forward to it.

i am consistently baffled that warframe has to crawl out of the shadow of other live service MMOs to get recognition for how good it really is i have never played a game that actively cares as much about its community as this one, amd delivers such consistently ourstanding writing (in recent arcs)

Play this if you want a really good sokoban style puzzle game with a good story that will eventually turn you into an insane person if you dig into it enough.

it sucks that this is the case but you're basically deluding yourself if you think there isn't any AI usage in large publisher/dev companies at this point. some of them are just smart enough to stay quiet about it this is why its more important than ever to support indies and expand ur tastes

i haven't had a nuclear 10 panic attack in years, so it's been... very hard, the past few days . i keep trying to chin up and get back to normal, but the residual shakes keep coming back in a circular sort of way if i'm absent here, that's why. sorry to everybody who has been made uncomfortable
