I grew a pumpkin! We have a lot of different varieties growing, actually. But this one is identifiable as a pumpkin rather than an green ping pong ball. I'm so excited!

The weekend's tomato haul became 7 pints of salsa, & 3 of the extra salsa juice to add to recipes. Tonight was 2 hours of cleaning up the garden bed and even after having 2 other garden member's take their fill, we still brought all these home. #gardening #gardeningasresistance #homesteading

It's #tomato time, which means I'll be canning #salsa this week. Most of these were from seeds that sprouted from a tomato that got left in our community garden bed by last season's gardener.

You can get PBS passport for like $5/month if needed. I'm cancelling other streaming services in favor of upping my PBS contribution as able because it's value is so much more than worth it. As a parent of 20 years, their kids programming is superior to both Nick and Disney anyway.

It's so hot and corn-sweaty outside, so I am giving k-tape a try on my knee instead of a brace. So far, so good. Also able to downgrade from crutches to a cane. Here's hoping it continues to improve and I can get back to walking! #pattellofemoralpainsyndrome

I slipped on the treadmill. Knee had a loud pop. Can't put weight on it without lots of pain. X-ray clear. So it's a brace, crutches, and follow up with ortho if needed in a week. I've been doing so good with walking and being more active. Oops.

A local tattoo shop had a $13 flash sale for Friday the 13th to let their apprentice get some time in tattooing. Hubs got the same ghost on his arm and our oldest son got a Japanese lucky cat.

Weather related headache, its dark and raining out, and I am cuddled up with the 3 year old watching David the Gnome after a few hours at the library this morning. The 11 & 13 yo boys go there a lot and the librarian told me what great kids I have. That's always nice to hear as a parent.

It's been a busy almost 2 months since I've been on here. I bought a minivan. We went to OK to visit family. Lots of gardening. Lots of work. My uncle was in the hospital and mom and I went to see him for 5 days. Kids are out of school. And now trying to help dad figure out moving here.

It's been a good weekend. Prom for the oldest daughter, back carries for the youngest, time outside with the chickens and ducklings, and not pictured is getting our raised bed at the community garden planted.

People were mean to him on Twitter, so he bought Twitter. People were still mean to him, so he bought the US government. And he is going to use it to hunt down those bad people!

Also, a woman was handcuffed at a subway station in NYC (Franklin Ave) when she intervened asking why a delivery man was asked to show work permit by undercover agents. There is a video of that.

The show Yellowjackets makes me want to plan a fun camping trip with friends. Minus the cannibalism. 😂

Weird news about work the week before I go back, bad news about my car (ext. warranty expired, definitely needs a new engine). All the stress. I'm going to keep the car, pay it off, and eventually put in a new engine. Slight chance factory powertrain warranty may apply, but if not, it'll be a while.

#Officeredo progress. The room itself is still trashed. BUT this is a start. A wider bookcase that is arriving this week will go between these 2 to hold more collectibles, books, candles, etc. And a painting above my monitor. I need fairy lights to light those shelves, too.

Tomorrow I will bite the bullet and finally call for an appointment about the anxiety. I'm having almost daily panic attacks. Driving home from Detroit was so bad I caved and bought cigarettes after 6 weeks nicotine free (haven't bought more, yay). I am awful at taking daily meds though.
