As a public sector employee in UK who knows how hard and dedicated public sector workers really are. Amongst the 'excitement' I think it is important we recognise that these are dedicated public serving Federal employees being impacted by the behaviours and actions of people like Elon Musk.

Minor reflection this morning. Many leaders see their stock rise higher during times of crisis. Gordon Brown for example did moderately well during several. More so the Falklands arguably saved Thatcher. Could the US be affording EU leaders (particularly Starmer) a moment to grasp?

When I speak on governance I say that governance has 2 main components: Structure (constitutions, codes of conduct etc.) Culture (behaviour, attitude etc.) You can have poor structure with good culture and be fine. You cannot have a good structure with poor culture. Culture 'trumps' structure.

This interesting post sparked thoughts: 1. AI as a term has a meaning defined by art; through sci-fi. AI term we use does not match that. 2. AI to streamline work processes (automation) is very different to AI for artificial creativity. We need to label different 'AI' differently (and with care).

'Echo chambers' It is not about differing views. It is about good and bad faith actors. Simplistic 'trolling' demonstrates this, yet when we switch to heavier topics we forget. Surrounding yourself with good faith actors in online communities of shared interest and expertise is only a positive.
