You know what has a great theme song, too? One actually written for the show vs. a cover? 227 Golden Girls is absolutely bigger, but given they premiered the same night, honoring one without the other? Not a good look, IMO.

Other than a bit of The Golden Girls, I don’t think tonight’s show about TV has shown any actual clips from TV shows. That’s a problem!

Officially Golden Girls Day is celebrated on July 30th which is also National Cheesecake Day. But I want to wish all my GG fans a happy Golden Girls Day today, 40 years after they premiered. I was 10 and didn't realize until I got older how much of my world view was shaped by this phenomenal show.
