Running my first Mothership campaign in about 2 weeks, and I'm currently writing some intro stuff for each of the players. Having great fun doing the worldbuilding and dropping in rumours and hinted at links, friendships & animosities between the players, and had forgotten how much fun this part is.

I'm enjoying Stranger Things, but it all does rather feel like it's going through the motions. It's the last series ever - be brave enough to kill off some of the (extensive) cast to make it feel like there are genuine stakes. And Christ, there must be neater ways of delivering exposition.

Does this make sense - last year's Christmas was the first without Dad, but this year I had a sad realisation that this is now the *norm*.

Having a story of mine performed as a successful play which did well. Getting a whole new audience for my books thanks to @yourpaperquest.bsky.social. Returning to @noiseboxradio.com with a new show that seems to have gone down well. It's been a miserable year, but those have been highlights.
