I don't recall having bought more than one or two copies of Mojo magazine in my life, but I seem to have picked up some cover discs here and there.

Apologies for the lateness of the hour
#vinylsanta
but this is so much up my alley. I have a different Horslips album on CD and enjoyed it immensely and Queen mainly at Live Aid, who could say no. Thank you very much

Found at the bottom of a plastic box filled with (mostly awful) records. £3 the lot. Nice box.

Excellent cheap chazza pickup. Exactly what you need, if you like Scotsmen singing about shagging.

Bought this because I like both Tom Paulin (the poet) and Kurt Vonnegut. I should have bought it because I love early Belle And Sebastian and don't really care if another band lift their sound wholesale.

Very much enjoying this targeted ad I got on Facebook. Nothing says "Christmas" like a poster of Slayer's "Seasons In The Abyss"

Would these songs still move you if you don't know they were Van Morrison songs? Probably not, but he does such a sell job on each one that it doesn't matter

On the subject of people traveling to the US right about now: Fuck, if I were from another country and I didn't need to come, I sure as hell wouldn't, the current administration has made it clear traveling here isn't safe, and why not take them at their word, there's a whole world to visit

We made it onto BBC Sounds! The adventure of finding Vancouver resident Valerie, the person behind a 50 year old Voice-O-Graph, which I found in a collection last month, is on BBC Sounds. Thanks to
@avavsystems.bsky.social
for his work digitally restoring the audio.

Every 50 year old should get a free head torch on the NHS. That's roughly the age it's fucking impossible to read anything in less than intense sunlight.

Bought a couple of dubstep LPs because they were stupid cheap. Assumed they'd be like Skrillex.... They're not. Apparently, I like dubstep now.

This is quite astonishingly good - the mix of melodicism and invention just perfect.

One of my favourite pieces of musical criticism is the old joke "Wagner has some beautiful moments and some terrible quarter hours"... On an unrelated note I am currently listening to disc 2 of Cream's "Wheels Of Fire".
