You can also access and render partial templates directly! This can be done using the syntax `template.html#partial_name`. This works particularly nicely with front end libraries like HTMX that often need to re-render a specific part of a page in isolation.

I’m so into this. You could make reusable behaviors (like focusgroup), template directives (like Vue or HTMX), or handle what people are doing with “LightDOM web components” without custom elements. A predictable API with setup and tear down lifecycle methods would a net win for authoring.

As a longtime Drupal developer now mostly using FastAPI - I’m pumped to not have to deal with Drupal so much and when I do I don’t have to mess around with badly documented JavaScript apis and can just drop HTMX in and have it just work.

I’ve done about a dozen htmx endpoints in Drupal manually and it’s still easier than using Drupal’s inbuilt Ajax system. Even got around the way Drupal (php) calls JavaScript.

I'm having so much fun with @htmx.org, Web Components and View Transitions while developing a simple app that can help me practice my Dutch. I'm getting a really smooth UX with just a couple of lines of code. The whole Web Component is just ~150 LOC including CSS, HTML and JS.

htmx isn't the only hypermedia game in town & a new, emerging alternative is nomini: nomini.js.org it's a small, attribute-driven library that combines hypermedia & reactive functionality created by one of the htmx community members check it out & give it a star!

Inspired by Alexander Petros of @htmx.org and his hundred-year web service talk, I currently enjoy building with the most boring technologies: sqlite (raw), http (node with h3 instead of express), templates with jinja (njk). Minimizing the dependencies, striving for simplicity.

Out-of-order HTML patching, another proposal from TPAC, lets HTML be presented non-linearly, and a single file can update multiple parts of the page. Would this feature be useful to you?

Building with @htmx.org is so simple that it's exciting. Added a polling feature to update elements until a certain condition was met, and it took exactly 4 hx- HTML attributes and one {% if %} check in Django. All server-side. No APIs. No JS build pipelines. This really does change everything. 😅
