Feels good to be back to pixel games, I can't stress that enough. I replayed the wormer deluxe demo just now and I'm still so proud of it. Pixels really gave me the freedom to add tons of small details that make the game feel so cool, similar things take like 500x more effort in 3D.

I put so much effort into the movement code to not favor any directions and nobody will notice. Regardless, it'll feel good when pressing up and then right makes you face right and pressing right and then up makes you face up. You won't know why, but I'll be there, smiling.

Figuring out how I want to handle a procedural magic system thats only gated by knowledge but still allows for neat and creative puzzles that cant be instantly circumvented

I spent the whole weekend playing MGS Delta and like it just makes me think we could have had a decade plus of games designed like this (series of very mechanically meticulous puzzle boxes) but with fancy graphics from AAA instead of open world or ghost train rides

I finished ng+ in silent hill f and watched the rest of the endings on youtube. Overall I liked it and I think it fits in with the classics of the series well. My only complaint is how tedious the combat is, and with its heavy focus and the games repetitive structure you end up doing a lot of it.

As a nostalgic throwback to the games of my childhood I will NOT be including a crt filter in my pixel game
