We saw Michael, @wombat37.bsky.social, June this year. It was a lovely visit. He talked about his writing and how much he enjoyed collaborating on his writing. That it took him into another world.

I went for a bike ride with a friend in Mission Trails this evening. The sunsets are so nice from there

I just sent some money to a friend. The banking app required me to say what the money was for. I wrote "Hookers and blow." It kept saying "Remove inappropriate language" and wouldn't let me send it. I had to settle for the more boring "Living expenses." What if it really was for hookers and blow?

I just had an epiphany that "Chips Ahoy" is a whimsical reference to "Ships Ahoy." That completes this level.

I was on a flight across the country a few days ago and was curious whether my smart watch could pick up enough GPS satellites to establish location. I put the watch on "bike" mode and held it to the plane window. I now have a new cycling record of 525 MPH and 6,160 ft of ascent.

Had a nice bike ride in Mission Trails Regional Park as the sun was getting low. The trails are a bit rocky in places but manageable.

Drinking my second Sazerac. I just happened to have absinthe, cognac, and Peyschaud's bitters on hand, so why not? All good, but measuring ingredients? Do I really have to double all my cocktail recipes?

Okay... I can see why 1 and 3 came up.

On my canyon hike yesterday I saw my first bobcat in the wild. At first I thought I'd only got it's tail in, which is to the right and bottom of the pic. Then a friend said "Wait! Is that an eye?" It's to the left of the shot. Once you see it, the rest of the details of the bobcat slowly fill in.
