finally summited Peaks of Yore's "Great Solemn Tempest" - a 7,464m mountain longer and more challenging than every other peak in the game combined. my successful attempt was about two hours long, and a quarter of that was in uncharted territory. my poor heart

I bought Super Mario Galaxy 2 on launch day, when I was six years old. Today, at the age of twenty, I finally completed it. I attempted this final level so many times... it feels surreal to finally check this off my spreadsheet. Final play time was 104:28:19 across 14 years.

for some reason, adding controller support to your project makes it feel so much more real, even if realistically it's not a huge step towards it being done. like wow, I'm playing my game like it's a *video game* and not just a program.
