I explored diffuse scattering and molecular dynamics during my doctoral studies, but unfortunately, I wasn’t able to find any meaningful interpretation at the time. Very curious to see what insights this initiative will bring!

Just like the video creator, I had no idea these kinds of plots were a thing. Although, I play a bunch of instruments and have a decent grasp of music theory🫣

Sam Altman wrote a blog post to tell us that he doesn't understand human creativity, technology, science, politics, history, ethics, or even his own AI. He does, however, have some grasp of marketing.

We are past the event horizon; the takeoff has started. Humanity is close to building digital superintelligence, and at least so far it’s much less weird than it seems like it should be. Robots...

It’s sad to see what trump does to science but it’s even worse to see two psychopaths with no empathy bully the unfortunately emotional president of the country at war. This opinion by Mikhail Zygar is spot on (free 10-min audio version avail.). Is this the new reality, or Americans could fix that?

The Putinization of America: Can Trump and Musk Outdo Vladimir Putin?
In Moscow, there’s plenty of speculation that Musk could quickly become to Trump what Boris Berezovsky was to Putin. Two alpha males, many argue, cannot coexist in the same den.

Not sure why Silicon Valley is so fixated on marketing AI to scientists as a tool for hypothesis generation? We have no problems generating hypotheses. We can crank out half-baked ideas just fine. You can help by pipetting, debugging unmaintained code, and troubleshooting weird unreported edge cases

Finally put together a script that scrapes arxiv/biorxiv/pubmed and emails the relevant structbio/ml papers from there every morning

I have it running on Heroku cloud for $7/mo, but it can also run locally for free on a raspberry pi or whatever
