Ok can someone explain why did Affinity nuke all the tutorials and guides they had on their youtube channel? Isn't this an absolute loss for everyone?

Now all that being said, I'll likely keep using my V2 Affinity for as long as i can. Publisher was the one tool i thought the price of admission was worth upgrading from OSS alternatives. It has served me well so far, and i don´t see that changing. This perpetual license will be perpetually used.

I'm seeing both praise and cursing directed at Affinity for their announcement of the new free version of their software, with the optional subscription for AI features. I know better than to trust Canva, but i do think this is a boon for us if it manages to reduce Adobe's influence. 🧵 1/10

Yesterday I played a one shot of Into the Dark, by Stras Acimovic and @johnwsheldon.bsky.social I really liked the post-apocalyptic, post-murk world it painted and the flavor of magic in it. My lightbearer had a mundane and meaningless death, just like that hopeless world demanded! Great stuff!

Spent some time taking a look at the state of gen AI and in particular Google's Veo3. Well, time to stop believing our eyes and ears. I was already pessimistic, but we got to this point faster than I expected. Very soon we'll need to rethink what constitutes "proof" of events, work, people...

Something outside the "Rules Light-Heavy" spectrum, but a trait on its own that signals the rules are shaped primarily after the #TTRPG 's themes. Worldbuilding Tip 10: With your roadmaps and signposts, working from the bottom up, next consider what your world is being used for. TTRPGs? Fiction? Everything? Detailing your world is focused by how it's used. Running TTRPG adventures in it? Start with places that characters may visit first.
