I'm already pretty distant from social media, but if my project I'm working on ever gets done and gets big, I would probably leave the public internet entirely. Fandoms sound like hell to deal with. I'd rather fade into the background, ignorant of whatever drama may happen.

Theories and "expectations" have had a nasty impact on culture. They just set people up to get mad when the story the artist tells doesn't line up with whatever people imagined based off "patterns" that don't really mean anything. Wait for the end, enjoy the ride, and let a story be what it is.

It just really frustrates me because the reason we keep having to do this song and dance of picking up and moving platforms is because we keep making the same mistake over and over again.
