I've been writing my new book for about 6 months, and only now is it finally feeling like an actual book with everything connecting up. It is very satisfying.

The maples are starting to flower. Spring is coming.

The interesting (and new to me) challenge of creating two versions of an essay: one that can stand alone and be submitted to magazines and another that is woven with other essays so that it can be a chapter of a cohesive book.
