Reposting so I can listen later. In my experience many people start hospice care thinking their life is over, and may choose assisted dying if it were to be available, but therapeutic and wellbeing intervention can transform their experience and help them see there is still life to be lived.

In the commission's first evidence session, we heard from experts about inequalities in care. Currently, people who live in less affluent areas are less likely to receive palliative care. The commission aims to recommend policies that make palliative care more accessible.
