I tried to read Sherlock Holmes when I was probably a bit too young to really get through the prose, but the Basil Rathbone films are making me want to have another go because I always have so many questions.

I'm back at work for one week before going on leave for a week *next* week (it made sense in my brain to do it this way at the time), and I've already had compliance modules to do, and past me as left random scattered articles on the desk with no clues as to what I wanted them for.

Not a 'resolution' but I want to post more about the films I watch this year. I used brain dump all the time on the *old* app years ago and I fell off even before the app went into the pits, but it brought me a lot of joy.

Watched The Court Jester last night and both Angela Lansbury and Glynis Johns falling in love with Danny Kaye in that film is very understandable

I've only been half watching/dozing through the Basil Rathbone Sherlock Holmes films (mainly because I keep putting them on while I'm sleepy), and contextually I get *why* some of them are set during WWII, but it didn't stop me being a bit discombobulated when I first realised what was happening.

This could go in a couple of different directions 😅

I don't know why I was surprised by the level of gore (which honestly wasn't even *that* gory) in Guillermo del Toro's Frankenstein.

Discovered that there is some odd cross-communication happening between my bluray player remote and my TV remote where if I try to change the volume, the disc skips forward or back a scene, so now if I'm watching a disc I have to stand to adjust the volume on the TV like the good 'ol days 😂
