Here's a sneak peek at the changes going on over at my Author portfolio during the next week or so for those interested. Been feeling stuck lately, so decided that a visual refresh was in order. The memetic minded among you will notice that I went with something far more brutalist this time.

Thinking of doing a graphical overhaul at my site. Part of my refocussing towards producing content outside of chasing publishers, a long overdue move towards writing as a hobby and not a second career. Retiring, I guess. I've added my art back into The Barghest Godform entries here as a first step.

Out on the outskirts of Cardiff, in the wild Welsh landscape, with the wedding party I mentioned earlier. On photographer's assistant duty, catching any shade I can in between moving stuff around. Pretty good day so far, feeling the heat. Love how quick this place shifts from urban to rural though.

Busy day today. Friend's wedding, helping out with a few things. Hoping to get a few minutes to myself to have a look around the grounds of the venue, maybe find something interesting. If I get any good photos of the location I might share them here. Guess we wait and see.

Crawling towards the low 30's again this weekend. Most of next week too. Not been declared an official heatwave, but such sustained warmth is unusual for Cardiff. Sea around the UK is 1.5 degrees or so warmer than usual, and it's raising land temperatures too. We may be literally cooked, eh?

So, heatwave over. Finally broke last night. Down to a lush 25 degrees in Cardiff now. Still recovering from heat exhaustion, catching up on chores, listening to #WitchHouse mixes and deciding the future of my author brand. Had too much time to think lately. Not a good thing. Not good at all.

Looks like the hottest day of the year so far today then. 37 degrees in Cardiff, might break a little later if we get lucky with the thunderstorms. And, not to overshare, but I will be dancing around the back garden in my boxers if it rains, and no, I am not sorry. I've earned a respite for sure.

Another 31 degree night here in Cardiff then. Standing fans are practically useless and no, we don't have air conditioning as a rule over here. Up until recently days like this were once a decade events. Now it's a couple weeks in a summer. And people still call climate change is a scam. Fucksake.
