One of my biggest dreams for most of my life has been to be a published author. Unfortunately I don't really have the patience or the endurance it takes. Maybe I haven't found the right story. Or maybe Im more of a reader than a writer. Still love writing poetry though.

Really busy day at work. First day that the library was open after the holidays. Tierd, but pleased. It's always nice to meet and talk to our regular visitors and see how much they love their library. 💜

My 13 yr old kid just posted this fantastic beat that he made by mixing different pieces of Thee Sacred Souls song "Can I call you Rose". I love that he can sit for hours til he gets a track just the way he wants, and that he's brave enough to share it with me and others.

Its so much fun to share a common interest for cult horror movies with my 13 yrs old son. Now he's finally old enough to see the Nightmare on Elm street movies. We've seen the first two and tonight we're gonna se my favorite in the series; Dream warriors. #horrormovies

Was so close to turning off my alarm and fall asleep again this morning. 😅 But I got up and feel quite good even if I'm tierd.

Listening to an audiobook in bed while drawing. Trying to focus my mind on happy things, cause the darkness is lingering. Usually I feel better the weeks my son is staying here, and hopefully the blues will fade. Its good that I have work tomorrow. That will keep my mind occupied.

Took away all x-mas decorations and managed to get the tree out on the balcony, the floor covered with spruce needles. Now when everything is tucked away it feels strangely empty. I think Im gonna buy another large plant and put it where the Yule tree stood. As soon as I can afford it...

Read The Deep Dark by Lee Knox Ostertag for the second time in two weeks. This graphic novel is fantastic and moves me in so many ways.

Even if 2025 was a hard year in many ways, some good things happened aswell. I went to West Yorkshire and finally got to wander at the moors and visit lots of beautiful historic sites and villages. I arranged a pride week at the library. I met a wonderful friend and lover who helped me alot.🩷

First selfie of 2026. Don't know if I bother with any new year resolutions. But I think Im gonna try to dress up a bit more, ecpecially on regular week days. I miss wearing my ties. Time to start using them more often.

First day of the year. It's been snowing all day and it's quite beautiful. Work tomorrow and then weekend. Im actually looking forward to normal workweeks again. I get a bit stressed over all the change in my usual routine.

Actually really proud of the pasta I made today. For lunch I made tortellini and as I had some dough left, I just made a whole bunch of farfalles that's going to dry over night. They're a bit uneven in size, but for being the first time I made that kind of pasta, im very happy!

6 ours left untill midnight. I've been cleaning the flat, taken a walk, read two comic books, seen several episodes of taskmaster, listened to podcasts, made tortellini , ate tortellini, made coffee, drank coffee, got texts from my ex with photos of our son having a great time, only cried a little.

Simmering jar with different flowers, leafs, herbs and lemon. One pot in the kitchen and this smaller one in the living room. Made a small batch of homemade tortellini with cheese that im gonna eat with grilled lemon and olives later. #witchsky

Mum just called, wishing me a happy new year. By accident or just because it was easy, I lied to her and told her I was going to a friends house to celebrate. She wouldn't understand the need to be alone. In general I'm very bad at lying, but when it comes to my folks...I've realised I lie a lot.

#witchsky friends. Do you have any special rituals you do on New years eve? Im planning to stay at home this year, taking care of myself, and it would be nice to do something special that feels hopeful and empowering.

I'm gonna try to write lists to myself with what I can do these coming days, to stop myself from falling down in darkness.

Just want to "warn" people that u can mute me for a while the following days if you want to. Probably gonna use bluesky to went and whine a bit. Need to stop sending panicked messages to friends and start handling things on my own a bit more. But as Im quite bad at that, ill write here instead.

I've really started to enjoy writing poetry again. I don't write that many poems in swedish tough, even if it's my native tongue. Some verses just comes to me in english, probably cause I've always read a lot of english novels and poetry. What language do write in, if you speak more than one?

Been quite anxios these last few days of the x-mas holidays. Having time off work is great, but a lot of emotions that had been pushed back got to the surface. Thankfully I could process some of it with friends and after a good ugly crying session over phone Saturday night, it feels a bit better.

Talked to my friend and she understands. Im gonna think about it a bit more, se how I feel next week. Tomorrow I'm gonna go for a long walk in the woods. Need some wilderness.

Im invited to a party at new year's eve at my friends and her girlfriends place. Lots of friendly people, food and drinks. Probably games and music. And I just feel anxious. Don't know if I can handle a party. People I haven't met for months who'll ask where my ex is, who doesn't know he's my ex.

Just saw Kate Winslet's Goodbye June. I know it got very mixed reviews, but I really liked it. Cried a bit and was quite moved by the story. I really hope Im surrounded by people I love the day I die.

My son bought me a stainless steel spatula for x-mas. 🙂. He commented that he know it was a boring present, but a spatula was actually one of the things I really needed. Havent had one since I moved out. Now I can finally flip pancakes properly again. 😂

Happy Xmas, Yule or whatever you're celebrating. In Sweden we celebrate tomorrow, the 24th so today we have what we call "uppesittarkväll" Stay up late evening.

Spent a few hours this evening crafting one of the tiniest amulets I've made. Its the size of a small shell, but contains a lot of big wishes. Not sure what to do with it, but I know time will tell. Scented with marigold oil and filled with Rosmary, yarrow, fern and a st paulia flower. #witchsky

Wow, this year.. Got accepted to a literary mentorship program that I fucked up and stopped writing. Had ups and downs at work, did claywork and rituals. My partner for 14 yrs broke up with me. I went to West Yorkshire, wandering the moors. Moved out. Met a fabulous new friend & lover. 💜

Books I've read so far this year. Alot of YA books, chapter books for children and graphic novels but also some good "regular" novels in manny different genres.

I guess im just affected by the gloomy weather, very little sunlight and a challenging autumn and winter. But Im so tierd of feeling so numb. When Im with friends or out walking, its ok. But as soon as I sit down in peace and quiet in my flat, I feel... detached. Like im not quite here.
