First crafty project of the year is done. It's a blanket for my friend. First time doing something of this size, and forst time knitting without needles. It's fuzzy as heck 🥰

I'm involved in tech hiring. I've interviewed thousands of engineers. And I'd like to tell you about a disturbing trend I've seen in tech in the last 10 years 🧵

🎄 Year in Review Email Examples 🎄 You like your Spotify Wrapped, right? But you’re in B2B and maybe think year-in-review emails don’t fit the vibe there. Au contraire! This is a great excuse to place your users at the center of your story. Scroll to see how others do it.⬇️

Having crafting friends is fun because they come over, bring you sourdough bread and supplies you didn't have, and a few hours of chit-chat later, voila!

Two weeks of constant worry and multiple family emergencies can take a toll on you as anxiety flares. But even small steps, like an hour long meal-prepping session, can help get back the sense of control and remind yourself that your support system is still working.

19 books read this year, and I think that officially takes me out of the reading slump. I may even round it up at this rate.

Who can I hire to help with improving activation and conversion? We have a lot of signups now and I want leverage from an expert on activating and converting more of them. I'm thinking onboarding emails, videos, help docs, strategy, etc Anyone come to mind?

So Oxford University Press named 'brain rot' their 2024 Word of the Year. I especially enjoyed learning: "The first recorded use of ‘brain rot’ was found in 1854 in Henry David Thoreau’s book Walden, but has taken on new significance in the digital age."

Planning to re-evaluate my distribution system and lay out how we'll approach distribution over at Userlist next year. Thankfully, lately I've been buzzing with ideas. But if you did something this year that really helped you, I want to know about it. :)

Anyone have a good year-in-review email they received? Asking for an article. Think Spotify wrapped but for any SaaS.
