Pathway construction update - paving was underway on the reconstructed Sandy Beach hill pathway on Saturday. Looked like they were close to finishing. Current re-opening date is Nov 25 and that looks likely. #yycbike

spICY in spots this morning! Wasn’t expecting the freezing drizzle right out of the door (not on wxradar). Down jacket was a bit leaky until a sheet of ice formed over it, then okay. Only one sketchy bridge deck but had advanced warning so was walking when the bike went down. #yycbike

My commute may be longer than I’d ideally like but I can’t complain about the views along the way. Saw my eagle again (no picture) and inadvertently chased a small rabbit the entire length of the tunnel south of the Bonnybrook plant (I did slow down for him). #yycbike

E-bikes were made for moody fall days. Heading to a shoot on the western edge of the city and realized it was only slightly longer to via Old Banff Coach Road, a favorite of recreational road cyclists. Sometimes it takes twice as long as driving, but the joy more than makes up for it. #yycbike

Pre-dawn observations along the #yycbike Bow River pathway. Road bike pathletes need to chill the f*ck down! Had 3 narrow misses from 3 separate 💩bags threading the needle between me and on coming runners in the dark.

Day 2 of my new #yycbike commute. 2 separate deer sightings as I rolled along the river. I now officially have access to the bike room and have discovered I am not the only one! 😁

New job means new #yycbike commute! Twice the distance of my previous commute (33km) but far more scenic! Pick up the Bow River pathway system just west of downtown, then follow the river until I peel off at 130Ave. Great morning for it!
