Alberta doesn't have compliance stats that I have seen, but a year ago the UCP scrapped speed photo radar cameras and in 2025 both Calgary and Alberta had a 10 year spike in vehicle related deaths. I guess that wasn't high enough because the UCP is now proposing to increase speed limits on highways

Was hoping my new helmet with visor wouldn't fog/frost up the way my goggles did but still fogging. The visor is easier to get out of the way to allow defogging or to simply see thru just 1 frosted layer though. And I love the front and back lights! #yycbike

@americanfietser.bsky.social it isn't everyday cycling, but a special trip. I had to go to a shop near downtown, ended up wandering a retail street and filled my panniers. 29km round trip. Stopped to pick up beer on the way home... glad I had my straps or I would have not been able to.
