The voice on an automated blood pressure machine advised me calm breathing would help, and began going, "Breathe in, breathe out" much faster than my normal breathing. I was thinking, "Bitch, slow down", and a woman nearby stopped and gave me a nasty look. Then I realized I'd said it out loud.

Was sharing my breakfast with the sparrows, and a cop walked into my launch zone and took some food bits to the crotch. He laughed and went on his way. Dude won't keep his job long with a cool head like that.

In the past week a new face joined the roster of regular Panera patrons. He brings his laptop and works remotely, conducting video calls with a friendly voice and smile. I don't really know what his work is, but he doesn't use Microsoft Teams so it must be something respectable.
