Two surgeries back to back tomorrow. One for better quality of life, and the other for life with which to appreciate better life quality. After that a period of recovery for some days, followed by relocation to a far off place in hope of greater quality in other life matters as well.

On the subject of Who fandom, half a lifetime ago I was very active on Outpost Gallfrey, arguing about nitpicky things with a smartass named Steven Moffat. Then he got tapped as second showrunner for the Who revival. I remember clearly my response when I heard the news: "Fuck. The bastard won!" 😅
