And, keep in mind, while this is about foreign aid funding ā likely intentionally so, b/c the Trump folks think people won't care about it ā it's also not about foreign aid funding b/c this is at the Supreme Court. Siding with Trump here opens the door for the Trump admin to do this with anything.

Since Sept. 9, Roberts has been letting Trump run out the clock on congressionally-required spending through an "administrative" stay blocking a district court injunction on the shadow docket while Roberts and SCOTUS are considering DOJ's (extremely weak) "pocket rescission" arguments.

The Supreme Court could say the presidentās allegedly illegal actions must be put on hold while the Court reviews it. Instead, they repeatedly say Trumpās abuses must be allowed to go forward while in dispute. Thatās entirely a choice. Thereās no basis in law. Made the opposite call with Biden.
