First attempt of Defenders of the Wild done. I lost. Pretty badly. Solo mode seems solid, but I think I played it far too aggressive, and got a lot of bad rolls on the hit dice, which ended up with bodies piling up quickly.

With power back this week, it’s been easier to play board games in the evening and I think I found a new favorite. I love co-ops and Defenders of the Wild does a lot that I really like. From its asymmetrical player factions to the way its unique machine antagonist functions.

finally got our copy of Defenders of the Wild, which i backed on kickstarter a while ago broke it out between yesterday and today, and it's been good fun. got the stuffing kicked out of us though.

Defenders of the Wild. A co-op area control game. First time playing and we barely won. Curious to try again since pretty much everyone was unfamiliar with it.

Defenders of the Wild was good fun! A Pandemic-like system, perhaps a bit more fiddly, but thematically strong and I really liked the asymmetric factions.

Defenders of the Wild. It kicked our ass! We could have been more efficient but I'm not sure what we could have done. I'm not against co-ops that are a little random, but wish we could have gotten closer. Still a cool production. Looking forward to playing again.

4th times a charm, we finally won a game of Defenders of the wild with a full four player game. So genuinely exciting once we started to see a road to victory.

Defenders of the Wild is a neat little design. Picked it up on a whim, but surprised me with its depth! @tlsimons.bsky.social @henryaudubon.bsky.social put together a compelling story of disaster mitigation.

Did a not-so-great job as Defenders of the Wild. This game is going to take some practice. The comparisons to Spirit Island make more sense than I thought they would. The player powers are simpler but the invaders are just as punishing. #boardgames

Yesterday I finally finished a couple games of furry cooperative Defenders of the Wild with @jakeyjaketheskunko.bsky.social as The Order, Cube as The Sect, Caust as The Coven, and me as The Council. The first game was a loss to machine construction, and we won the second attempt.
