Today has been a fantastic day! I've managed to add the NPC, implement StateSaving, and made great progress on dinosaurs and the player's ability to move between areas or scenes, mainly by using .save. Started on some custom constraint tech. Has gizmos and in-editor constraint preview. Uses a custom force integration function instead of physics joints, so the motion is a lot cleaner (no soft wiggling at the limits). #GodotEngine #gamedev #indiedev

Gave penguins the ability to "swipe" items. They're intelligent enough to know when to bend over or jump for out-of-reach items, but not presumptious enough to locomote (that is controlled by higher cognitive routines). 🐧🫳🐟 #GodotEngine #gamedev #indiedev #screenshotsaturday

Checked out Godot’s Terrain 3D again performance is way better now. Realized Monster Hunter-style combat just doesn’t work well in 2D, especially weak points and scale. So I’m switching to a low-poly PS1-style 3D look I love, and I can reuse most of my code in 3D! #indiegame #indiedev #godot #3D

trying to speed up the item downloader from the HTTP server. Currently, it takes 30 seconds to download a 2 KB zip file locally, which is too slow for our needs.
