Honestly, my big issue with Alien Earth is that the xenos have always had a pretty different relationship with androids in the setting, and that's great. Lots of fun, interesting angles there. But they've never been buddies, sidekicks, or pets. Alien Earth has reduced them.

Hmmm. #Alien Earth. I dunno, man. There's stuff I like about it. It's fun enough. But it's real dumb. And not really about the titular alien in any meaningful way. There are ways they could turn it around in a second season, but I'm not sure they want to.

I picked up #EndlessLegend2 and I'm impressed by all the changes. @amplitudestudios.bsky.social has learned a lot of lessons and made tons of improvements, big and small, throughout. I'm hoping to see a few more factions added, the weirder the better.

The Summer Hikaru Died doesn't feel inspired by any particular @stephenking.bsky.social work, but it does feel like it's operating in a similar space (with the addition of a very un-King-like queer subtext). Only one episode left in the season!

Finally caved and just watched the ending of #Silksong. The true final boss (end of Act 3) is just too damn HARD. Maybe I'll go back and try to get all the mask fragments and see if I can eke out enough edge to clear it myself, but I've gotta be free of this massive game.

I watched Unknown Number after seeing @jamellebouie.net talking about it, and I was not prepared for it. Rough watch. Not really anything special as a documentary, but an insane, awful situation.

My contrarian take is that when low-level goons like Big Balls and Charlie Kirk are getting assaulted or shot, it's not a sign of martyrdom but a sign the regime is playing with fire.

I doubt it's aliens, but that clip of *something* shrugging off a direct missile hit is wild as hell. I wish we were getting cool/troubling UFO news under a non-fascist regime.
