I overheard a phone conversation between a mom & son yesterday. The son said his workplace was raided by ICE. It sounded like he was in charge & voluntarily allowed ICE in. He said that he cooperated b/c his employees are legal, & it went smoothly. My question: Why let them in without a warrant?

Mamdani said to fund his programs, he would only have to raise taxes on the top 1% of New Yorkers by an extra 2% of their income. How insane is it that we could have free childcare, free busses, cheaper rent, and cheaper groceries by taxing 1% a tiny bit more? Imagine if we taxed them 5% more.
