We did finally get to a human and resolve the issue. It required going to the Xbox itself, using the help app, then following a QR there to a completely different support channel. Insane.

Just in case this gets found later. We did finally reach support. No idea what the major malfunction was. Once a human got engaged the issue was resolved promptly. If you find yourself in that situation just keep trying! I got the human eventually by going on the Xbox itself, help app, QR code.

I'm putting @xbox.com and @microsoft.com on BLAST. I have been trying for 2 DAYS to contact their Xbox support. The phone number is a recorded message directing me to the website. The support website doesn't load properly and their "virtual assistant" is an AI bot that doesn't help!
