Use your existing committee, drop unhelpful members, or ask someone with service commitment (DGS). Heavy asks can be disproportionate to untenured faculty, esp. WOC.

For those concerned about DNA ownership by corporations like 23andMe BUT do not understand impacts of funding cuts to the National Institutes of Health: Absent NIH funds, researchers will have to seek industry $$ to conduct research. Even more of your genomic data will be co-opted by corporations.
