The mood at this meeting was a very good demonstration of the strength of feeling in Stirchley against the repeated fixing of flags to lampposts, by a group of people who don't live in the area, and the associated intimidation that the community has been subjected to in the past three weeks.

So many people in Stirchley, including me, really don't want the flags here. We know the real reason the flaggers are doing this. It's not unity. There was no consultation, no working with the community to see how we would like to unite. It's an imposition.

I am disgusted by Reform UK's threats to people who have built a life in this country. They are coming for our neighbours. They are coming for our colleagues. They are coming for our friends. We are at a dangerous moment. This hatred cannot be appeased. It must be defeated.

Why are the American president's claims about autism the first item on British news bulletins? He's not our president, the advice doesn't apply here and he's not presented any evidence to support his assertions. So why spread these claims? What make this the biggest story in the UK?

I like Ed Davey’s stunts. He talks about serious issues like social care and how to take on Reform day in day out, and I think voters like to see politicians occasionally demonstrating they can have fun too. It’s also a way of commanding attention from a negligent media. Sue me.
