Folk with OCD understand moral panic more than others I feel. We have to unpack the uncomfortably and uncertainty stirred by the grotesque voices/thoughts/images that flit across our mind’s eye. We have to, lest we lose ourselves in the bottomless mire of guilt, and worry, and paralyzing fear.

I think fundamentally, the ability to care about the rights of a small and vulnerable minority (of whom you might know no members) is an important sign of whether you are committed to human rights out of principle, or out of mere convenience.

I lost so much respect for fellow artists over the past year for their eagerness to comply with censorship. I was torn to shreds, nearly doxxed by my own creative community, over speaking up for expression and marginalized ppl last year on Twit. It’s very clear we have calls from inside the house.
