One of my favorite stories I've written to date is about teenage witches who practice in a suburban Chicken Express, and it's finally being published!! Here's the amazing cover that looks awesome and is hilariously mismatched with the tone of my story that's in it!

Today my 3 year old asked me to sing him an X-Men song at bedtime, so on the spot I wrote Wolverine the Grumpy X-Man to the tune of Rudolph. Why even sit down to write today? I've clearly hit my creative peak for the day.

It's 11:30, I'm still freaking out and I don't know when I'll be able to sleep. I have been skeptical about a Wicked movie for 20 years, but I just witnessed an absolutely fantastic Wicked movie. 1/?

A neighbor posts poems on her garage regularly and this is the current poem. It spoke to me and given the wall of AHHHH I walked into here today, maybe it will help others too.

Doing my first ever author reading at @flightsoffoundry.bsky.social in 5 hours!

In my first day at @flightsoffoundry.bsky.social I got to geek out with so many cool people. I got to talk about my love of non-linear and meta structure and theatre. I also somehow wrote a thousand words of a flash fiction response to The Goblin Market that was weirdly literary for me.

I'm so excited about @flightsoffoundry.bsky.social and #flights2024 coming up this weekend. I'm on 4 panels! And doing a reading! And hosting 2 group hangouts! I have no chill when it comes to cool writing thiiiings

Husband and I are very successfully raising a Marvel kid. The balloon stand at the state fair had Batman balloons. My 2 year old saw the black outfit with black pointy ears and said "it's Black Panther!"

I love living in Seattle, where two of the biggest parties in town yesterday were Independent Bookstore Day and the opening of the new light rail
